Processes leaves .pid files even if process stopped
When stopping syslogd and crond I noticed that they left their pidfiles
in /var/run/{crond|syslogd}.pid
This was noticed on Alpine Linux 2.2.x
To reproduce:
/etc/init.d/syslog stop
pidof syslogd
cat /var/run/syslogd.pid
/etc/init.d/cron stop
pidof crond
cat /var/run/crond.pid
