Description

Since kernel 3.8.x the filesystem f2fs (flash friendly file system) is included in the mainline kernel.
You build the filesystem with your default kernel (linux-grsec).
But the tool to format a partition is missing.

So it would be nice to have this tools in alpinelinux to format a flash partition like my usb stick
with f2fs filesystem.

Hi,

the packages works good:

--snip--
/dev/sdc4 on / type f2fs (rw,relatime,background_gc_on,user_xattr,acl,active_logs=6)
--snip--

but I can't create a UUID for the f2fs partition:

--snip--
xen:~# fdisk -l /dev/sdc

Disk /dev/sdc: 4003 MB, 4003463168 bytes, 7819264 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x1d9512a6

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdc1 * 1 204799 102399+ 83 Linux
/dev/sdc2 204800 2158591 976896 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sdc3 2158592 5025791 1433600 83 Linux
/dev/sdc4 5025792 7819263 1396736 83 Linux
xen:~# blkid /dev/sdc4
xen:~# blkid /dev/sdc3
/dev/sdc3: UUID="178d0a13-e088-401e-9a5d-9eed4bd69795" TYPE="ext2"
xen:~#
--snip--

but I this is not a problem for me ...

but I can't create a UUID for the f2fs partition:

This is because f2fs is not supported in blkid.
