Xen bug makes Xorg segfault in Linux HVM domUs
Linux HVM domUs with vga=“qxl” are currently unusable with the Xen
version
available in Alpine as Xorg will segfault when started.
The problem has been fixed upstream with a very small patch, but it’s
unknown
when this will be in a stable release, so I’m hoping the patch can
applied to
the Alpine Xen aport until available:
http://xenbits.xen.org/gitweb/?p=xen.git;a=commitdiff;h=2bb230972c5ddb1ca823f47750b5d46a9d302d0e
I have tested the patch on a custom build of Xen on Alpine and Xorg no
longer
segfaults.
